I Can Name…

Pass the phoneTimed

Two to twelve players or teams, one category, and a little overconfidence. Bid aloud, enter the final bidder and number, then start the 60-second naming challenge. This shared-phone version uses original categories and awards one point to a successful bidder or splits one point equally among everyone else on failure.

♧ 2–12 players◷ 10 min★ 4.7

How to play

  1. Enter 2–12 player or team names. Choose the winning score and an optional bidding clock.
  2. Read the category on the phone. Take turns bidding how many distinct examples you can name. Raise the bid or challenge your opponent.
  3. When bidding ends, select the final bidder and their promised number. The 60-second naming timer starts only when you tap Start.
  4. The bidder names answers aloud. Repeated or off-topic answers do not count; the group judges the answers.
  5. When time runs out, or you stop it early, mark whether the target was reached in time. Success gives the bidder one point; failure splits one point equally among all the other players. With three players, each opponent receives half a point.
  6. Continue with a new category until someone reaches the winning score. Players who reach it together share the win. The phone keeps the scores and restores the game after a reload.
